Sep, '15Our flats at IconInc have been decorated to the highest standard by our fabulous interior designer Rachel Cook to make your stay as luxurious as possible.
For an effortless move, or to save the sudden panic of having to do everything in one night, order some of our lovely little extras to be waiting for you on arrival. The kitchen equipment pack will provide kitchen rookies with everything they need to survive for the first few months.
Now, we shouldn’t recommend beans on toast with a cuppa for every meal, but we will provide you will all the equipment to make it, along with the ingredients in our moving in pack. Just take a look at the website to enhance your experience at The Edge.
If you fancy adding your own personal touch, we would suggest taking a look around some of Leeds’ chic shops and boutiques to find some hidden gems to ensure your flat is exactly how you want it. ‘But where?’ we hear you cry…
In the city:- Alavit has some of the funkiest bits in the city, from hanging punch bag laundry bags to customisable cookie stampers ‘you’llavit’. If you intend for your ‘bits and bobs’ to be the talk of the party, then get yourself to the Queens Arcade.
- Leeds Corn Exchange boasts some of the city’s most boutique circle of shops all under one roof (and three floors). If you want to warm up your flat with some Moroccan soft furnishings and home accessories, then Yellow Sunrise is worth a visit.
- My Vibrant Home in the historic grade 2 listed Victorian Grand Arcade is bursting with colour and somewhere you can get really creative with your homeware. Pick up a cosy woollen throw for the winter months and a distinct reed diffuser to make you feel relaxed and comfortable in your new pad.
- Short on time? Nip into TKMaxx store on the Headrow and pick up some fun bakeware, ornaments or even crockery for a very friendly price. Ideally for rummagers!
Take a trip to the suburbs:
- Chirpy based in the up and coming Chapel Allerton is an alcove of ‘chirpy’ gifts and home design items. From retro placemats to wise word wall plaques, you can jujj up your flat to make it as unique as you are whilst enjoying a day of exploring the nearby suburbs of the city.
- Blackbird vintage is just a bus journey away to Moortown (near Chapel Allerton), and if you like ‘stuff’ with character, then Blackbird vintage will be your wonderland. The gems in the shop are one of a kind, and the design fanatic owners hand pick items on a regular basis, so expect something new every visit!
- Feeling strapped for cash and but inventive? Headingley, a very popular area for Leeds students, boasts a paradise of charity shops (and cake shops). If you haven’t thought of charity shopping before, get some free time and get searching. Otley Road is the place to go, and who knows, you may find a new hobby!!
